Amanda Ferrell is a Los Angeles–based visual artist, designer, educator, and founder of A. Ferrell Creative Art is a company proudly approaching its 20th anniversary in 2026. Her artistic journey began in the fourth grade, when a simple classroom drawing unexpectedly caused excitement among teachers and students. From that moment, Amanda realised she possessed a remarkable, self-taught gift that would shape her creative identity.
Throughout middle and high school, Amanda became known for her artistic contributions—creating banners, posters, hand-painted designs, and spirited visual work for student elections, sports programs, local businesses, and community events. Her talent gained formal recognition during her senior year when her artwork was selected for a school-wide competition, earning her third place, a financial award, and a spot on the graduation honour roll. Although these achievements sparked dreams of pursuing formal art education, Amanda faced setbacks when her applications to art schools were
not accepted. Disheartened, she stepped away from art after high school and redirected her life’s path.
In 2005, while on maternity leave with her second child, Amanda rediscovered her creative voice. With nothing more than a pencil and a sheet of paper, she returned to drawing as a source of peace, healing, and clarity. This renewed passion evolved into a profound vision for entrepreneurship. In 2006, she transformed her artistic hobby into a professional venture, establishing A. Ferrell Creative Art—a creative retail brand built on originality, storytelling, and emotional connection.
Over the years, Amanda has contributed to mural projects, local exhibitions, vendor shows, and community arts initiatives throughout Los Angeles. Her work has garnered commendations from city and county officials recognising her positive influence in the arts and her dedication to youth, mental-health awareness, and community engagement.
After stepping away again to focus on raising her children and overcoming personal hardships, Amanda made a powerful creative comeback in 2024, showcasing new work with Pancakes & Booze Art Shows in Los Angeles and rebuilding her artistic presence. She has reconnected with many artistic colleagues and now collaborates with esteemed artistic veteran Maurice Howard, who also serves as her mentor.
In September 2024, Amanda expanded her impact by teaching and mentoring youth, offering workshops designed to encourage creativity, relieve stress, and support emotional well-being. She continues to develop engaging community showcases and programs, including her 2025 Valentine’s “Lovers Workshop,” which blended art, storytelling, and honest dialogue around relationships and self-love.
Today, Amanda is fully dedicated to growing A. Ferrell Creative Art into a dynamic art, creative lifestyle and retail product brand. She produces original artwork, mixed-media creations, handcrafted products, and interactive workshops while building a renewed clientele and preparing for her company’s 20-year milestone.
